All Things Beautiful...Through My Kaleidoscope

Welcome to my page of reflections on the mandala art of Henry Reed. Long ago, I envisioned my writing as viewing life through my looking glass…my kaleidoscope. I love the way the picture changes, with each turn of the scope. Yet, it’s always unique and beautiful. After long enjoying Henry’s mandalas in my daily email, I discovered that, beyond looking at the artwork, I was feeling prompted to write words from my heart regarding what was going on in my life. I began my own daily affirmations, or reflections…and posting them here, beginning in August 2009. ~ Nov. 13, 2011, Henry completed his 7th year -- 2,556 mandala paintings -- thus completing a circle. A new one begins. Hope you'll tune in to watch what develops in this blog space of Henry Reed, SusanGail and ATB ~ It's a journey of intuitive heart.

MANDALA ART BY HENRY REED FROM ARCHIVES OF THE DAILY MANDALA

Note to visitors of All Things Beautiful...

Below you will see my reflections on The Daily Mandala from the archives, beginning with Nov. 13, 2004...progressing gradually onward to Nov. 13, 2007, when Henry concluded his seven-year series. To see the newest mandalas, scroll down the archives...to where I first began the reflections in 2009. So, I've a long way to go before I sleep, in these mandala woods, so lovely, dark and deep!

The Daily Mandala: September 11, 2005

I know that I know...
the circle of life begins and ends with me.
My ideas take shape in the blink of an eye.
It's what I do with them
 that makes the difference.
I smile when I think of the power of an idea.
When its time has come, then the circle of life
allows it in, to spring into creation.
I know that  I know...
 because of my action,
 its legacy will continue on.

The Daily Mandala: September 10, 2005

Resurrecting the dream resurrects me.
The dream refreshes and renews me,
 my purpose and my vision.
Its spirit of truth encircles and embraces me.
I see once again the light on my path
 glowing with beauty,
 intensity and transparency.

The Daily Mandala: September 9, 2005

Beginning again, I can see the calm, bright center where I rest my soul in illuminated peace. From there I see in all directions; and the paths to integrate radiate the pattern I must create. Gathering in the threads, my tapestry becomes complete.

The Daily Mandala: September 8, 2005

Fruitful seasons sing me memories on the summer breeze...lovingly caressing me in warm thoughts of walking with my friend. Miles and miles past fields and flowers that loom in blooms, we stroll down country roads and paths in parks. Laughter bursts in technicolor conversations, sharing insights heart to heart. ~ ATB ~

The Daily Mandala: September 7, 2005

In my dreams, I fly above the fray, the life I've known on earth is gone. The future becomes the past, the present teases me, the past overwhelms me. As above, so below becomes one in my soul. I dive  to the depths,  the clouds part and I roam the fields and woods and streams.
I'm free. I'm home.

The Daily Mandala: September 6, 2005

Flowering paths I follow; trails of fragrant thoughts meander through my heart. I catch their whimsical message; I listen; and I know which way to go. I sense the pattern... delicate, intricate, yet formed with incredible power.~ ATB ~
