All Things Beautiful...Through My Kaleidoscope

Welcome to my page of reflections on the mandala art of Henry Reed. Long ago, I envisioned my writing as viewing life through my looking glass…my kaleidoscope. I love the way the picture changes, with each turn of the scope. Yet, it’s always unique and beautiful. After long enjoying Henry’s mandalas in my daily email, I discovered that, beyond looking at the artwork, I was feeling prompted to write words from my heart regarding what was going on in my life. I began my own daily affirmations, or reflections…and posting them here, beginning in August 2009. ~ Nov. 13, 2011, Henry completed his 7th year -- 2,556 mandala paintings -- thus completing a circle. A new one begins. Hope you'll tune in to watch what develops in this blog space of Henry Reed, SusanGail and ATB ~ It's a journey of intuitive heart.

MANDALA ART BY HENRY REED FROM ARCHIVES OF THE DAILY MANDALA

Note to visitors of All Things Beautiful...

Below you will see my reflections on The Daily Mandala from the archives, beginning with Nov. 13, 2004...progressing gradually onward to Nov. 13, 2007, when Henry concluded his seven-year series. To see the newest mandalas, scroll down the archives...to where I first began the reflections in 2009. So, I've a long way to go before I sleep, in these mandala woods, so lovely, dark and deep!

The Daily Mandala: September 27, 2005

Oh, sunny day. Feeling jaunty, refreshed, renewed. Drawing circles, fitting my square pegs into round holes. I love this morning's energizing fun. The sky peeks through blue. I open my heart to its color and light, bringing me daydreams of magic and creativity.~ ATB ~

Rainbow Road winds crazily around a technicolor hub. Ah, hubbub. It's driving me through a roundabout in a maddening dream state. Roads offshoot in all directions, calling me to go here, go there, try this way, that way. Suddenly, I'm on the edge of my seat, speeding along, heading out an exit tunnel...
drawn to all the wild spaces and places I've never been. ~ ATB

The Daily Mandala: September 25, 2005

Crossroads come at us in the purest form sometimes. Then we must focus. Earth, air, sea, sky. I must stay grounded, yet I must fly. The balancing act of life in its simplicity. Be true to myself. Be me. Be. ~ ATB ~

The Daily Mandala: September 24, 2005

Autumn rose inspires rows of roses
winding 'round it.
Circle enclosed brings me repose,
as I contemplate, nose to rose.
The wind blows green over fields serene;
I align my festive rose design...
this pink and green neon scene...
as best as I can paint it,

The Daily Mandala: September 23. 2005

Ringaround the fairytale-time,
dancing into dream-time,
calico kisses and buttons and bows.
Happily-ever-aftering,
here we go a-laughing,
merrily singing, fancifully playing,
rhyming our silly tunes.
Twirling round and round again,
discovering the sweet, heartfire within.
The party's just beginning...
over the rainbow, around the maypole...
shall we all join in?

The Daily Mandala: September 22, 2005

Beads of wisdom, beads of dreams,
energize and synchronize my thoughts,
my goals, my life design.
I SEE it as complete, an O of opportunity,
a portal to the future me.
All is well, I SEE... and ATB.

The Daily Mandala: September 21, 2005

Enchanted eyes peer through the luminous fog of my soul. The ears of the universe hear the music in my heart. Sunlight peeks through clouds, reflecting joy upon my somber thoughts. I catch a glimpse of what might be, should I grasp the possibilities.

The Daily Mandala: September 20, 2005

Healing body, mind, heart
comes through the beautiful art
of allowing love and light
to infuse each cell of my being.
Daily doses of serenity,
moments of synchronicity,
tapping into the harmony
of oneness within me. ~ ATB
